Attention, Whitfield County youth, it’s that time again! Time to sign up for Whitfield County 4-H Summer Camps.
This year more than 8,000 Georgia students from ages 9 to 19 will go for a week of 4-H summer camp. Catch up with an old friend or make a new one and have the time of your life.
Fifth- and sixth-graders experience the tribal fun at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center in Eatonton from June 13 through June 17. Swimming, water sliding, miniature golf, nature trail and night hikes, canoeing, crafts and plenty of indoor and outdoor recreation time assures your week at camp will be fun filled.
Seventh- and eighth-graders spend the week of June 20-24 in an awesome Atlanta summer mix at the Fortson 4-H Center. In between excursions to White Water, the Varsity, Stone Mountain and the Atlanta Motor Speedway, campers are challenged by one of the best ropes courses in the South complete with a climbing wall and zip line.
Ninth- and 12th-graders go to the Rock Eagle 4-H Center the week of July 4-8. Campers return to the familiar Rock Eagle camp and participate in all its recreation possibilities. Also included are other off-campus recreational trips, including a day of fun at the University of Georgia.
Sign-ups for all camps are at the Whitfield County Extension and 4-H office at 1407 Applewood Drive in Dalton. Spaces for all camps are limited. For more information call (706) 278-8207 or e-mail email@example.com.
