A robbery at Ringgold’s Walgreens Monday night might be related to a robbery earlier this year, officials say. Police believe the robberies might have been committed by the same person.

According to Ringgold police detective Patrick Mason:

The robbery occurred at 7:40 p.m. The robber entered the store about 30 minutes before the robbery to investigate the situation. He left a handbag on the shopping aisle in front of the pharmacy.

Later, when he returned, he picked up the bag, pulled a revolver from his waistband and jumped the pharmacy counter.

After ordering the staff on the floor, he told the pharmacist to open the cabinet where the oxycontin was kept.

The robber jumped back over the counter and left the store approximately two minutes after he entered the store the second time.

He got into a small, red or maroon SUV, which was driven by a white female.

The suspects were last seen heading south on Alabama Highway.

Here is a description of the robber: white male; possibly in his 20s; 5-feet 6-inches to 5-feet 7-inches; about 150 pounds; wearing camouflage cargo shorts, white tennis shoes, tan or off-white long-sleeve T-shirt and red sunglasses; carrying a yellow nylon bag with blue handles.
