Annual festival highlights fine arts and artisan crafts

Returning this year to the Creative Arts Guild's annual festival is jeweler Dennis Jones, shown here at Festival 2018.

Sept. 20-22, the Creative Arts Guild's Festival 2019 will feature a variety of live music, kids' and multicultural activities, dance and gymnastics exhibitions, and a bike parade, however, it is most importantly an exhibit and market of high-quality arts and crafts.

It is one of the most important ways the organization annually offers enriching art experiences to the community as intended in its mission. Event-goers will view an array of fine art and crafts, and can purchase beautiful items for holiday gifting or personal collecting.

A juried Indoor Art Exhibit will be displayed throughout the Guild's three galleries. All of the works in this exhibit will be available for purchase. Both the Indoor Exhibit and the Outdoor Artist Market (on the covered Spigel Pavilion) will feature a broad array of art media and methods: jewelry, pottery, painting, folk art, wood, fiber arts, adult and children's wearables, bags, basketry, glass, metal, photography, sculpture and more.

Persons attending the ticketed Festival 2019 Preview Party and Taste of Dalton on Friday evening, Sept. 20, will have exclusive first opportunity to view and shop the exhibits and market before the public opening on Saturday morning.

For more information about the Indoor Exhibit, Outdoor Market and all Festival 2019 activities, and to purchase tickets for the Preview Party, visit www.creativearts guild.org/events/annua l-events/festival or call (706) 217-6677.
