Antioch Baptist Church hosts an end of the year community yard sale on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 7 a.m. to noon. Everyone is invited to come and sell their items at one of the church's free tables. There will also be a car show, and a free lunch will be served to everyone at noon.

Antioch Baptist Church hosts the sixth annual Gaither Style Choir Singing on Sunday, Sept. 8., from 4 to 6 p.m. There will be a mass choir of various singing groups, individual singers and combined church choirs. Participating are Linda Autry (pianist); John Bowman of God’s Not Dead; Homeland Baptist Choir; Tim Moxley of Shady Grove; Wesley Noland and The Providence Bluegrass Trio; North Georgia Baptist Church; Poplar Springs Baptist Choir; Dan Sluder; Janice Steelmon; and Toby Westmoreland and The Mount Carmel Trio. Bethel AME Church invites the public to its Hour of Power Bible studies on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. followed by Bible study at 6:30 p.m. The church is at 620 Spring St.

The Sounds of Joy is a senior adult interdenominational singing group sponsored by Dalton First United Methodist Church. The group normally presents four programs a year at various nursing homes and adult care facilities in Dalton and Whitfield County. Rehearsal is each Thursday at 9:30 a.m. for one hour in the music suite of Dalton First United Methodist Church.
