Valley Brook Church of God holds a school backpack giveaway on Saturday, July 20, in the parking lot between Walgreens and Bruster’s Real Ice Cream on Dug Gap Road. Church members will hand out school backpacks filled with supplies and other items to school-aged children from low-income families. The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until all of the backpacks are gone.
