The Dalton Parks and Recreation Department's youth development program, Level-UP, will celebrate its second completion of the 10-week program on Monday and the community is welcome to join this celebration.
Twelve youth committed to the intense curriculum that focused on their leadership capabilities and more. Level-UP has a five-point structure that sharpens individual potential through personal development, leadership training, academic skills training, mentorship and community service. Each week the young leaders were empowered to walk with integrity, attitude, commitment and vision.
"We are very proud of the growth within this group," said program coordinator Audrey Simmons.
The 2019 second semester graduates are Zion Broome, Ryder Burse, Evan Hood, Olivia Moore, Devanshi Patel, Dhayai Patel, Dylan Patel, Sovil Patel, Gerriyah Raines, Jamir Timmons and Kiara Torres.
The celebration is Monday at 6 p.m. at the Mack Gaston Community Center.
