Performances for the Creative Arts Guild and Ballet Dalton's 14th annual production of "The Snow Queen," a ballet based on the Hans Christian Andersen story by the same name, are Thursday and Friday, Nov. 21 and 22, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 23, at 2 and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 24, at 2 p.m. in the Dalton High School theater.

This is the fourth year featuring a professional, live accompaniment by the Creative Arts Guild Chamber Orchestra.

The Nov. 23 matinee features all of the live music, mystery and magic of "The Snow Queen" in an abridged, narrated format specifically designed for young audiences and their families.

Dalton High School Players will narrate the show as Hans Christian Andersen and his wife Anne traveling through the story with the audience to demonstrate the traditions, techniques and artistic choices of a ballet and an orchestra; thus offering the audience a greater understanding and appreciation for this experience and art form.

"In this, our 14th annual production, we look forward to our audience experiencing the wonderful partnership of beautiful dancing and music that creates the magic that is 'The Snow Queen!'" said Guild Dance Director Jessie Fincher. "It is not to be missed."

Tickets are $18 for adults and $13 for students and senior adults.

Tickets can be purchased at www.creativeartsguild.org or by calling (706) 529-3442 and pressing 213.
