• Benjamin James Barnett, 38, 162 Bunch Mountain Road, Adairsville, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with battery and cruelty to a child (third or subsequent offense).

• Melissa Michelle Canchola, 46, 3205 Maple Grove Drive, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth.

• Troy Devon Jones, 35, 249 First St., Cuthbert, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Nilson Larach-Barahona, 38, 829 Buck Blvd., Calhoun, was placed on hold Friday at the Whitfield County Jail for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

• Justin Ray Lecroy, 28, 376 Murray Ave., Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Christy Lynn Martin, 36, 620 Palms Way, Dalton, was charged Friday by state probation with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

• Mario Moreno, 26, 1307 Alexander Road, Cumming, was placed on hold Friday at the Whitfield County Jail for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

• Emmali Caroline Osby, 21, 960 New Hope Road, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated assault.

• Enrique Velez, 36, 4209 Spring Valley Drive, Cohutta, was charged Friday by state probation with felony probation violation.

• Jonathan Raymundo Carpintero, 24, 1426 Burgess Drive-8, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with terroristic threats and acts.

• Elizabeth Ann Howard, 24, 5100 Red Bud Road N.E., Calhoun, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with DUI, failure to maintain lane and no headlights when required.

• Blake Reid Manis, 26, 1749 Stoney Point Circle, Rocky Face, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with attempt or conspiracy to violate state drug laws and use of communications facilities in drug transactions.
