A medical examiner is working to identify the body found after an explosion and fire in the home of a suburban Atlanta man known for his fight to keep chickens on his property.
Officials with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office say identification of the body could take days, but could come as early as Tuesday.
The house that exploded and burst into flames on Monday belonged to Andrew Wordes, who was known as the “Chicken Man” for his attempts to turn his Roswell house into a makeshift farm.
He told a local reporter to warn the marshals who were trying to evict him to back off. Moments later, fire officials say someone poured gasoline in the house and set it on fire.
