Meet #greenshirtguy — the activist who laughs hysterically at anti-immigration protesters

Alex Kack couldn’t believe what he was seeing. He was sitting front row at the Tucson City Council meeting Tuesday night when the scene began unfolding next to him. As a woman in a “Make America Great Again” hat shouted for stricter enforcement of immigration laws, Kack’s eyebrows arched. When she stood up, an incredulous smile spread across his mustachioed face. Then she pulled out her sign, and Kack lost it. For the next 30 seconds, his body shook with laughter. “It kind of just happened, and it was so absurd,” Kack said in an interview with The Washington Post. — The Washington Post

Actor Danny Trejo comes to aid of baby that was trapped in overturned car

One of Hollywood's best-known villains, Danny Trejo, came to the rescue of a baby that was trapped in an overturned vehicle in Los Angeles. It wasn't a stunt for an upcoming movie. It happened in real life on Wednesday. The actor jumped into action after witnessing two vehicles crash causing one to rollover. The overturned vehicle that was sitting on its roof still had a baby strapped into a car seat inside. Trejo said he tried crawling in through a broken window but couldn't get the seat belt unhooked. With the help of another bystander, Monica Jackson, they were able to free the child. — CNN

Tennessee inmate escapes from prison where a top official was found dead

Authorities in western Tennessee are searching for a inmate who escaped Wednesday, the day a longtime corrections official was found dead in her home on the grounds of the prison. Officials discovered the body of Debra Johnson, a employee of 38 years who oversaw the facilities in the western part of the state, Wednesday morning about 11:30. They believe Johnson, 64, was the victim of a homicide. A Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokesman said Thursday that escaped inmate Curtis Ray Watson is a suspect in Johnson's death. Watson, who was serving a 15-year sentence for especially aggravated kidnapping, was discovered missing when officials put the facility on lockdown and conducted a check of inmates. — CNN
