Area Arrests for July 7

• Brian Douglas Thomas, 39, 529 Bishop Road, Chatsworth, was charged Thursday by the Murray County Sheriff's Office with aggravated stalking.

• Jeffery Wayne Branson, 32, 90 Kings Parkway, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff's Office with felony probation violation.

• Brandon Adam Headrick, 30, 143 Long Pine Way, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office with felony failure to appear.

• Terry Lee Long, 57, 736 Bishop Pond Road-O, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Georgia State Patrol with improper lane change/failure to maintain lane and DUI (drugs).

• Derace Deon Maxwell, 30, 413 Cattleman Drive-7, Dalton, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office with possession and use of drug-related objects, no insurance, driving with a suspended or revoked license and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended, revoked or canceled registration.

• Rodney Maurice Melendrez, 20, 217 Cemetery St., Tunnel Hill, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office with felony probation violation.

• Jesse Lamar Nunez, 30, 107 S. Lakeshore Drive, Tunnel Hill, was charged Friday by the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office with felony probation violation.

• Rodney Edward Smith, 32, 324 Bahamas Drive, Chatsworth, was charged Friday by the Murray County Sheriff's Office with felony probation violation.

• Ronald Wilbur Thomason, 59, 1677 Old Lake Road, Tunnel Hill, was charged Friday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with DUI and operating a vehicle without proper tag or decal (new resident to register within 30 days).

• Ashlie Leann Calhoun, 27, homeless, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with criminal trespass (damage of $500 or less), felony theft by taking/larceny/pocket picking and false report of a crime.

• Derrick Scott Johnson, 22, 2406 First St., Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office with misdemeanor shoplifting, possession of meth, possession and use of drug-related objects and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a felony.

• Keith Allen Sprinkle, 31, 622 Fifth Ave.-7, Dalton, was charged Saturday by the Dalton Police Department with felony theft by taking, willful obstruction of law officers and false report of a crime.
