Area Arrests for June 13

• Porter Scott Allen, 27, 320 High St., Chattanooga, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and following too closely.

• Darrell David Ray Branson, 42, 1663 Stoney Point Circle, Rocky Face, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, sale of meth, trafficking in meth, use of communication facilities in drug transactions, willful obstruction of law officers and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

• David Michael Goswick, 69, 130 Bryant Road, Chatsworth, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with two counts of obstruction of an officer and receipt, possession or transfer of a firearm by a convicted felon or felony first offender.

• Paul Mathew Hawkins, 25, 1152 Lake Katherine Road, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with misdemeanor probation violation, giving false information to a law officer and fugitive from justice.

• Crystal Michelle Hester, 30, 128 Dobie St., Tunnel Hill, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with two counts of felony probation violation.

• David R. Holmes, 55, 414 Benton St.-1, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with felony theft by receiving stolen property, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of meth, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

• Jason Enrique Paredes, 24, 512 Kevin Way, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Georgia State Patrol with reckless driving, felony fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, passing in no-passing zones, failure to maintain lane, improper lane change or usage, failure to stop at a stop sign, running a red light, improper u-turns, speeding, unlawful use of central lane, tag/decal violation, driving without a valid license, driving on a divided highway/controlled access road/emergency lane and removing or affixing a license plate with the intent to conceal.

• Michael Andrew Rogers, 28, 5490 Blue Springs Road, Cleveland, Tennessee, was charged Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with felony probation violation.

• Eddie Lamar Sanford, 54, 85 Oak St., East Ellijay, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with use of communication facilities in drug transactions and attempt or conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act.

• Mary Samantha Wise, 21, 512 Kevin Way, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with reckless conduct, felony aiding a prisoner to escape, reckless driving, failure to stop at a stop sign, passing in no-passing zones and following too closely and by the Georgia State Patrol with misdemeanor willful obstruction of law officers.

• Debbie Ponder Johnson, 58, 1064 Leonard Bridge Road, Chatsworth, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI and following too closely.

• James Timothy Saine, 44, 218 Stackstone Drive, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Tunnel Hill Police Department with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and driving while license is suspended or revoked.

• Heath Austin Sexton, 17, 818 Shugart Road-A2, Dalton, was charged Wednesday by the Dalton Police Department with felony theft by taking and misdemeanor failure to appear.

• Paul Brian Wooten, 42, 166 Cutcher St., Copperhill, Tennessee, was charged Wednesday by the Varnell Police Department with DUI, speeding and failure to maintain lane.
