Area Arrests for Oct. 17

• Lilibeth Arze, 23, 1415 Sienna Drive-B, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with trafficking in meth, two counts of possession of meth with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a felony.

• Allen Lamar Baker, 68, 3366 Crider Road, Rocky Face, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of cocaine and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• Kendra Breanna Branson, 20, 1663 Stoney Point Circle, Rocky Face, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

• Kara Star Elswick, 40, 1306 Underwood St.-408, Dalton, was charged Tuesday by state probation with felony probation violation.

• Alberto Ricardo Garcia, 26, 4312 14th Ave., Chattanooga, was charged Tuesday by the Dalton Police Department with trafficking in meth, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and two counts of possession of meth with intent to distribute.

• Jorge Joel Hernandez Jr., 22, 128 Kirkpatrick St., Cohutta, was charged Tuesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with burglary in the first degree, possession of meth and possession and use of drug-related objects.

• Jason Randel Mayer, 39, 4038 W. Parliament Drive, Cohutta, was charged Tuesday by an outside agency with felony failure to appear.

• Isaias Moreno Jr., 22, 214 Platte St., Dalton, was charged Tuesday at the Whitfield County jail with felony failure to appear.

• Donna Sue Townsend, 59, 2199 McCamish Road, Dalton, was charge Tuesday by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office with felony failure to appear and misdemeanor failure to appear.

• Luis Hernandez-Almaraz, 22, 16878 177th Road, Live Oak, Florida, was charged Wednesday by the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office with DUI, driving without a valid license, hit and run and failure to maintain lane.
