The Georgia Division of Public Health has concluded there is no “cluster” of a rare form of brain cancer in Dalton. The agency began an investigation last year after receiving reports of a cancer know as glioblastoma multiforme.

“Based on the available data, we’ve not seen more than the expected number of brain and other central nervous system cancer cases, specifically glioblastoma multiforme,” said state epidemiologist Susan Lance.
