Pre-kindergarten registration for Whitfield County Schools will be March 5-6.

Families may register children for pre-kindergarten only at the Whitfield County Health Department at 808 Professional Blvd. in Dalton from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 5, and from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6. For quicker service, please download and complete the registration forms in advance and bring them with you to the health department for registration.

A parent seeking admission for their child must be present to register. Also, please bring copies of all of the following:

• Proof of Immunizations (Form 3231)

• Eye, Ear and Dental Certificate (Form 3300)

• Social Security card

• Birth certificate

• Proof of address (rent receipt, power bill or water bill in parent’s name with service address)

• Medicaid/PeachCare card

During your visit to the health department you may take advantage of the following services:

• Immunizations

• Dental screenings

• Eye exams

• Birth certificates (if born in Whitfield County)

• Information about special needs services. Classrooms are available at:

    • Cedar Ridge Elementary

    • Dawnville Elementary
