The Georgia Commission on Freight & Logistics, co-chaired by House Transportation Committee Chairman Kevin Tanner, R-Dawsonville, will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dalton State College.
The commission was established by House Resolution 37, which was adopted in the 2019 legislative session. The commission will study Georgia’s freight and logistics network and find ways to move freight more efficiently throughout Georgia while spurring economic growth and job creation. The commission will issue its report to the lieutenant governor and speaker of the House by Dec. 31.
The meeting will be in Gignilliat Hall, Wright School of Business (Business Hub Room), 650 College Drive.
