CHATSWORTH — The following took place in Murray County Superior Court Wednesday:
• Kenny Byrd, no address available, pleaded guilty to possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine. He was sentenced as a first offender to 20 years, eight in prison and 12 on probation; to pay a $2,000 fine, court costs, surcharges and probation fees; to 300 hours community service; to attend alcohol and drug counseling; and to submit to random drug screenings. As a first offender, if he successfully completes his probation, he will not have a felony record. If he does not, he could be resentenced up to the maximum of 30 years.
• Marty Crawford, no address available, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to six years, one in prison and five on probation; to pay a $2,000 fine, court costs, surcharges and probation fees; to 300 hours community service; to attend alcohol and drug counseling; and to submit to random drug screenings.
• William Charles Huddleston, 4156 Highway 225 North, Lot 78, pleaded guilty to terroristic threats and acts and violating a temporary restraining order. He was sentenced on the terroristic threats charge to five years probation; to pay a $1,000 fine, court costs, surcharges and probation fees; and to attend a family violence intervention program. He was sentenced on the other charge to 12 months probation.
• Christopher Ryan Sundman, 19, 2421 Old Federal Road, Chatsworth, pleaded guilty to DUI. He was sentenced to 12 months with two days in jail and the rest on probation; to pay a $750 fine, court costs, surcharges and probation fees; to 40 hours community service; and to attend DUI school.
• Benjamin Wells, no address available, pleaded guilty to theft by receiving stolen property. He was sentenced to five years, with 30 days in jail and the rest on probation; to pay a $1,000 fine, court costs, surcharges and probation fees; and to 100 hours community service.
