The final two selections have been made for the 2020 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) citizen advisory committee.
Tuesday night, Cohutta’s Town Council approved Nicholas Conner as that town's representative on the committee.
Also Tuesday night, Tunnel Hill selected William "Butch" Middleton for the committee.
The 16-member committee (with two alternates) has its first meeting scheduled for Thursday at 6 p.m. in the fifth floor conference room of the Wells Fargo building at 201 S. Hamilton St. in Dalton. The committee will advise Whitfield County's commissioners on possible projects for a SPLOST that could be on the ballot in May or November of next year, but the commissioners will have the final say. A SPLOST is a 1% sales tax placed on most items sold in the county.
Other members of the committee are:

• Representing the city of Varnell, Paul Wilson.
