The following pleas were heard in Whitfield County Superior Court on Wednesday:

• Menquis Aguilera-Martinez, no address listed, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. He was sentenced to five years in prison; five years of probation; ordered to pay a $5,000 fine plus court costs, surcharges and probation fees; must complete 300 hours of community service; must complete alcohol and drug abuse counseling; and must submit to random drug screens.

• Barron Amos, no address listed, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. He was sentenced to five years of probation; must pay a $2,000 fine plus court costs, surcharges and probation fees; must complete 300 hours of community service; must complete alcohol and drug abuse counseling; and must submit to random drug screens.

• Timothy Jay Davis, no address listed, pleaded guilty to illegal possession of drugs. He was sentenced to five years of probation; ordered to pay a $2,000 fine plus court costs, surcharges and probation fees; must perform 300 hours of community service; must complete alcohol and drug abuse counseling; and must submit to random drug screens.

• John William Dempsey, no address listed, pleaded guilty to DUI. He was sentenced to two days in jail; 11 months and 28 days of probation; must pay a $400 fine plus court costs, surcharges and probation fees; must complete 40 hours of community service; and must attend DUI school.

• Jonathan David Duran, no address listed, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, reckless conduct and cruelty to animals. He was sentenced to 10 years of probation. The first 120 days must be spent in jail. The jail term will be suspended once he enters into a probation detention center for 90 to 120 days. Duran must also pay a fine of $5,000 plus court costs, surcharges and probation fees; must complete 200 hours of community service; and must submit to random drug screens.

• Latonya Lashaun Duran, no address listed, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, reckless conduct and cruelty to animals. She was sentenced to eight years of probation and must spend the first 45 days in jail. She must also pay a $3,000 fine plus court costs, surcharges and probation fees; must complete 200 hours of community service; must complete alcohol and drug abuse counseling; and must submit to random drug screens.

• Jeremy Christopher Durham, no address listed, pleaded guilty to DUI. • Emeterio Pacheco, no address listed, pleaded guilty to DUI. He was sentenced to two days in jail; 11 months and 28 days of probation; must complete 40 hours of community service; must pay a $400 fine plus court costs, surcharges and probation fees; and must complete DUI school.

• Freda Lynn Pfeiffer, no address listed, pleaded guilty to illegal possession of drugs.
