Christian Heritage 14, Osborne 5 (game one of a doubleheader)

Christian Heritage 13, Osborne 9 (game two)

Christian Heritage School (4-1) traveled to Osborne High School in Marietta on Saturday and swept a doubleheader. In game one, the Lions won 14-5. Luke Owen pitched a complete game allowing only one earned run while tallying eight strikeouts against two walks and only four hits.

Christian Heritage collected 12 hits with Nathan Davis and Nash Bingham leading the way. Davis went 3-4 with two RBIs. Bingham was 2-3 with a RBI and a triple.

Will Brumlow and Luke Wagner both made offensive contributions with two RBIs each along with Josiah Chiesa, who had a double.

Game two of the doubleheader saw the Lions gain another victory, 13-9.

Two freshmen carried most of the load on the mound. Brennen Corn got his first career start, going 2 2/3 innings giving up six earned runs and tallying five strikeouts.

Luke Wagner finished the game throwing 4 1/3 innings giving up one earned run on four hits and five strikeouts.

His effort was good enough to earn his first high school win.

Offensively, the Lions once again collected double-digit hits, with 11. Elian Bautista, Chiesa, Davis, Ben Hermann and Wagner all collected two hits each.

Chiesa got his second double of the day and Bingham added another triple to his daily tally.

Davis once again had a stellar game, with three more RBIs. Hermann also had two RBIs.

Christian Heritage plays Armuchee at home tonight at 5:30.
