The Lady Lions lost in the finals of the Carpet Capital Christmas Classic, a tournament the Lady Lions hosted, falling to Baylor (Chattanooga) on Monday, 61-44.

Coahulla Creek 46, Kennesaw Mountain 40

Playing in the Pickens High School Christmas Tournament, the Lady Colts beat Kennesaw Mountain, 46-40. Kenley Woods was Coahulla Creek's leading scorer with 24 points. The Lady Colts are now 11-2, 4-2 Region 6-3A, and play at Calhoun Friday at 4 p.m.

Dalton 47, Southeast Whitfield 35

Dalton got the win at home over county rival Southeast, 47-35. For the Lady Raiders, Lisette Gomez had 16 points, five rebounds and four steals; Jurnee Harris contributed seven points and four rebounds; and Madison Powell grabbed nine rebounds. Southeast fell to 4-12, 1-4 Region 6-4A, and faces Pickens on the road Friday at 7 p.m.

Boys

Christian Heritage 60, Bradley 51

Christian Heritage won the Carpet Capital Christmas Classic, a tournament the Lions hosted, by beating Bradley County (Tennessee), 60-51, behind Evan Lester's 22 points and 11 rebounds. Also for the Lions, Nash Bingham had 18 points; Drew Clements went for 13 points, three assists and seven steals; and Bryce Farmer grabbed 10 rebounds. Christian Heritage is now 11-0.

Dalton 76, Southeast Whitfield 40

The Catamounts picked up the victory behind Frank Almonte's 22 points and 13 rebounds, improving their record to 11-4, 5-2 Region 6-6A. Also for Dalton, Ashton Blackwell, Sam Tidwell and Sam White each had 14 points. Dalton takes on Harrison in Kennesaw on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
