High school cross country: Coahulla Creek has two runners place in top 15 at the Class 3A state meet

The Coahulla Creek High School boys and girls cross country teams competed at the Class 3A State Championship on Saturday at Carrollton High School.

The Coahulla Creek High School cross country program had one girl and one boy each finish in the top 15 runners individually at the Class 3A state championship race on Saturday at Carrollton High School.

Kaylee Bandy was the top finisher for the Lady Colts, coming in eighth in the girls race with a time of 20:37.21. Lane Hollis finished 13th in the boys race with a time of 17:17.37.

The Colts finished 10th overall as a team out of 32 teams. Runners were Garrett Hughes in 54th place; 18:30.98, Tanner Rape in 63rd place; 18:51.05, Harris Gallegly in 68th place; 18:57.32, Andrew Stamper in 70th place; 18:58.74, Devin Edwards in 75th place; 19:13.64 and Sean Marsh in 90th place; 19:32.67.

The Coahulla Creek girls team finished 12th overall out of 32 teams. Runners were Ella Coley in 35th place; 22:40.59, Kennedy Hughes in 98th place; 25:25.35, Kathryn Mayfield in 101st place, 25:32.74, April Cruz in 120th place; 26:40.56 and Pare Chalamaneeporn in 122nd place; 26:52.99.
