High school cross country roundup: Coahulla Creek boys finish first in another race

The Coahulla Creek High School boys cross country team finished first at the North Georgia League Race No. 2 at Edwards Park on Tuesday.

Top scoring runners for the Colts were Lane Hollis, placing second overall with a time of 18:09; Harris Gallegly with a time of 19:25; Sean Marsh with a time of 19:45; Devin Edwards with a time of 19:54; and Andrew Stamper with a time of 20:30.

The Coahulla Creek girls team also raced. Top finishers were Kaylee Bandy, placing second overall with a time of 21:26; Ella Coley with a time of 24:15; Kathryn Mayfield with a time of 26:52; April Cruz with a time of 28:59; and Pare Chalamaneeporn with a time of 29:09.

Southeast Whitfield

The Southeast Whitfield girls team ran at Clear Creek in Gilmer County on Tuesday and finished fourth out of 13 teams, while the boys team ran at Edwards Park and placed fourth out of 22 teams.

For the Lady Raiders, Lupita Martinez finished second overall, Marlene Paez was seventh, Lizeth Cortez finished in 11th place, Jessica Ruiz finished in 29th place and America Ambriz finished in 31st place.

Axel Salaices was first to finish for the Raiders with a time of 19:44, good for a 12th-place finish individually. Noah Aguilar had a time of 19:59 and finished in 17th, Pedro Morales was 41st with a time of 21:11, Angel Garcia was 42nd with a time of 21:13 and Meteo Triana also had a time of 21:13 and finished 43rd.
