Dalton High School's Jahmyr Gibbs scores a touchdown against Northwest Whitfield during this past season.

Dalton High School senior running back Jahmyr Gibbs has chosen to not sign during the NCAA's early signing period, which began Wednesday.

Gibbs is rated as a four-star running back by both Rivals.com and 247 Sports, holding 27 scholarship offers to play in college. He has been verbally committed to Georgia Tech since this past May, though the offers have come in bunches after that point. He has garnered at least one offer from each Power 5 conference including eight from the Southeastern Conference and nine from the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Gibbs is scheduled to sign with whichever school he chooses during National Signing Day in February. He has all five of his official recruiting visits scheduled in the month of January including to Alabama, Florida, Georgia Tech, LSU and Ohio State.

Gibbs finished his senior season with the Catamounts with more than 2,500 yards rushing and 40 touchdowns. He added one more score on a 97-yard kickoff return early in the season.

The early singing period for football ends on Friday.
