The Coahulla Creek High School softball team got off to a fast start to the season with a 21-0 win over Southeast Whitfield Monday.

The visiting Colts (1-0) scored eight in the first inning, one in the second and 12 in the third in the three-inning victory. The game was shortened due to the mercy rule.

Eight Colts had at least one RBI, and six players had two RBIs or more. Third baseman RJ Janke led the way with two doubles, three runs scored and four RBIs. Southeast (0-1) was hitless.
