Christian Heritage 11, Whitefield Academy 1

A day after pitching a no-hitter, Christian Heritage School pitcher Tatiana Chiesa was on her game again Wednesday tossing a five-inning complete game at home in a win over Whitefield Academy, 11-1.

"Not a no-hitter," Christian Heritage coach Michael Leonard said. "She pitched really well. They were able to squeak through a few hits."

Chiesa gave up one unearned run on three hits and walked one. She was also productive at the plate, going 1-for-1 with four runs scored. Also for the Lady Lions (5-4, 0-3 Region 6-A), Elisa Castelo went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, Kensley Wooten went 2-for-3 with four RBIs and Tessa Hawkins scored three times.

The Lady Lions face Bowdon at home today.

Coahulla Creek 10, Armuchee 1

Coahulla Creek High School (5-6, 0-4 in Region 6-3A) got solid pitching performances from Jillian Poe and Sophia Voyles in a 10-1 win over Armuchee. Voyles started the game and gave up a run without allowing a hit over two innings. She struck out three and walked one. Poe pitched four innings and gave up two hits while striking out five.

Six Lady Colts had RBIs: Voyles (three); Meka Henson and McKinley Staten (both with two); and Amaris Bartley, Emma Snyder and MiKayla Teems (each with one).
