Shaylen Sutton pitched all seven innings and recorded seven strikeouts to lead Northwest over Gilmer on Thursday night at home, 5-1.

Payton Tuder was 1-for-4 with two RBIs and one run scored to lead the Lady Bruins (9-0, 2-0 in Region 6-4A) offensively. Alex Smith had a double.

Northwest plays at noon on Saturday at Coahulla Creek.

Calhoun 5, Coahulla Creek 1

Coahulla Creek took an early lead with one run in the first inning, but it wasn't enough as they fell to Calhoun on Thursday at home, 5-1.

Sophia Voyles took the loss, pitching all seven innings with six strikeouts. The Lady Colts (4-3, 0-2 in Region 6-3A) recorded two hits.

Coahulla Creek hosts Northwest at noon on Saturday.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe 5, Murray County 1

Murray County fell at home to Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe on Thursday night, 5-1.

Alyssa Usrey was 2-for-3 to lead the effort for the Lady Indians (5-6, 0-1 in Region 6-3A).

Murray County plays at 5:30 p.m. on Monday at Gordon Central.

Heritage 8, Southeast Whitfield 0 (six innings)

Southeast fell to Heritage on Thursday night on the road, 8-0.

Madison Powell and Brooke Taylor each had a hit for the Lady Raiders (1-8, 0-4 in Region 6-4A).

Southeast plays at noon and 2 p.m. for a doubleheader at Dalton on Saturday.

Trion 6, Christian Heritage 1

Christian Heritage fell on the road to Trion on Thursday, 6-1.

Tatiana Chiesa pitched all seven innings to take the loss with four strikeouts. She was also 1-for-2 with one RBI. Ansley Adkins and Tessa Hawkins were both 1-for-3.

The Lady Lions (4-2, 0-1 in Region in 6-A) travel to Darlington in Rome for a game at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
