Dalton won both its matches at home on Thursday by defeating North Murray, 25-20, 25-15, and Southeast, 25-9, 25-17.

Kaysen Welsh finished the night with 14 assists, nine kills, four aces and three digs for the Lady Catamounts (2-1). Tessa Townsend had 15 assists and five kills, while Sarah Jane Halyak had eight kills and four blocks.

Dalton plays Gordon Lee in a tri-match starting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at LaFayette.

North Murray 2, Southeast Whitfield 0

North Murray topped Southeast on Thursday night at Dalton, 25-13, 25-18.

Korbin Tipton had eight kills to lead the Lady Mountaineers (2-3). Macy Isbell had six kills and four aces, while Cady Wheat also had six kills. Julie Petty had 15 assists and two aces.

AnnaMaria Ramsey had eight kills for Southeast (1-3). Stephanie Sullivan finished with 26 digs and two aces, while Anna Boyd had 12 assists and three kills on the night. Vanessa Gomez had 10 assists, and Heaven Cooper had three kills.

North Murray hosts Southeast and Heritage for a tri-match at 5 p.m. on Thursday, while Southeast plays at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in a tri-match with Calhoun at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe.

Northwest won both of its matches at home Thursday, taking down Rome, 25-15, 25-13, and Ringgold, 25-11, 25-18.

Kiersten Maynard finished with 14 kills, 16 digs and six aces to lead the Lady Bruins (4-0). Emma Hayes had 10 kills and 12 digs, while Emma Allen had nine kills, 41 assists, 11 digs and five aces. Abigail Crawford finished with seven digs, while Lexie Douhne added three blocks. Sam Johnson had 11 digs.

Northwest plays at the Coosa Invitational Tournament on Saturday.

Christian Heritage School dropped two matches on Thursday at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe.

The Lady Lions (1-2) fell in three sets to LFO, 25-19, 24-26, 14-16. They then fell to LaFayette, 13-25, 11-25.

For the night, Caitlin Brock finished with 12 assists, 11 kills and seven aces. Sophia Waugh had nine assists, five kills, six digs and two aces, while Amelia White had 14 digs and two aces. Gracie Hill finished with 14 digs, three kills and two aces. Amariah Simmons chipped in with four kills, two digs, one ace and one block.

Christian Heritage plays at the Coosa Invitational Tournament on Saturday.

Murray County lost two matches on Thursday at Woodland.

The Lady Indians (0-5) fell to Chattooga, 23-25, 19-25, and to Woodland, 18-25, 14-25.

Ashlyn Davis had nine kills, five digs and three aces, while Maddie Banks had 15 digs and two kills. Alexia Mora pitched in with 22 digs and two aces, while Ella Tankersley had 17 assists, six digs, three aces and three kills on the night.

Murray County plays Lumpkin County in a tri-match starting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at Pickens.

Coosa 2, Coahulla Creek 0

Gilmer 2, Coahulla Creek 0

Coahulla Creek dropped two matches on Thursday night at home, falling to Coosa, 7-25, 11-25, and to Gilmer, 13-25, 20-25.

Brooklyn Jacobs had 12 assists, three kills and three aces for the Lady Colts (0-4). Kiersten Hixson finished with eight assists and four kills, while Marlee Fossett had five digs and four aces. Ema Turner had eight kills and four digs.

Coahulla Creek hosts Adairsville and Dade County at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
