Northwest split its final two regular-season region matches at home on Tuesday night as the Lady Bruins (23-6, 5-1 in Region 6-4A) defeated Gilmer 25-17, 25-14, and fell to Heritage in three sets, 25-18, 18-25, 13-15.
On the night, Emma Allen had 17 kills, 17 assists and six aces. Kiara Hughes finished with 25 assists, while Emma Hayes had 14 kills and 10 digs. Kiersten Maynard had 12 digs, and Nicole Thurman added six blocks.
Northwest Whitfield plays Woodland and Calhoun at Model starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Brooklyn Jacobs had 13 kills and two assists for the Lady Colts (4-19, 0-4 in Region 6-3A). Marlee Fossett had 14 digs, one ace and two kills, while Haley Marie had six digs. Kiersten Hixson had three digs and five assists.

Dalton won silver on Saturday at the Raider Rally Tournament at Southeast Whitfield, finishing with a 4-2 record.
The Lady Catamounts (16-13, 3-3 in Region 6-6A) defeated Adairsville, Gilmer, Lookout Valley (Chattanooga) and Christian Heritage, all in two sets. Both losses came to LaFayette -- once in pool play and once in the championship match, 16-25, 23-25.
Tessa Townsend led Dalton with 40 kills, 43 assists, 20 digs and four aces on the day. Kaysen Welsh had 32 kills, 50 assists, 25 digs and nine aces, while Searany De La Cerda had 30 digs and 10 aces. Abby O'Ferrall had 15 kills, 11 digs and nine aces, and Ahdaisha Johnson finished with 12 kills and one block.
Christian Heritage finished with a 4-1 record on Saturday at the Raider Rally Tournament at Southeast Whitfield.
The Lady Lions (15-14, 2-4 in Region 6-A) defeated Southeast, 25-14, 25-19; Lookout Valley, 25-14, 25-22; Sonoraville, 25-11, 25-18; and Adairsville, 25-8, 25-18. They dropped their match with Dalton, 25-15, 25-22.
For the tournament, Sophia Waugh finished with 25 kills, 13 aces, 23 assists, five digs and three blocks. Caitlin Brock had 22 kills, nine aces, 26 assists and three digs, while Athena Critides had 13 kills, six digs and two aces. Gracie Hill added 25 digs and three aces, and Amelia White had eight kills, 15 digs, three aces and six assists. Amariah Simmons finished with 10 kills, two aces and three digs. Ryleigh Payne chipped in with three blocks, two kills and one ace.
Southeast finished 0-4 at its home tournament on Saturday with losses to Christian Heritage, 14-25, 19-25; Sonoraville, 25-27, 14-25; Lookout Valley, 12-25, 24-26; and LaFayette, 17-25, 7-25.
Leaders for the Lady Raiders (3-25, 0-3 in Region 6-4A) included Anna Boyd with 15 kills, and Vanessa Gomez with 19 assists and 17 digs. Lisette Gomez finished with 15 assists and 19 digs, while AnnaMaria Ramsey had eight kills. Stephanie Sullivan added 24 digs.
