The No. 6-ranked Dalton State College Lady Roadrunners golf team finished out the first tournament of the spring posting a 313 (+25) on Tuesday for a tournament total of 619 (+43) to come home third in the Coastal Georgia Winter Invitational at King and Prince Golf Course in St. Simons Island.
Eastern Florida State, the No. 3 junior college team in the country, won with a 612 (+36), followed by (RV) Coastal Georgia, the host team, with a 618 (+42).
No. 14 Loyola (Louisiana) (621, +45) shot the round of the day (304) to place fourth. Johnson & Wales (Florida) (641, +65) rounded out the top-5.
Katelyn Skiffen earned all-tournament team honors, a fifth place finish overall, with a two-round total of 152 (+8). All-American Hannah Gasaway (153, +9) made it two Lady Roadrunners in the top-10 with a seventh place finish.
All-American Isabel Rijos posted 75 (+3) to shoot up the leaderboard and finish tied for 18th with a tournament total of 158 (+14). Haejin Choe (161, +17) and All-American Cameron Daniel (162, +18) finished tied for 24th and 26th respectively.
Freshman Megan Donahue carded 160 (+16) playing as an individual for a 22nd place finish.
The Lady Roadrunners travel to Florida next week, Feb. 17-18, to play at the Championsgate Invitational at Championsgate Country Club in Orlando, Florida.
