The surging Dalton State College Roadrunners won their sixth-straight game with an 82-69 win over Brewton-Parker in Mount Vernon on Saturday.
The Roadrunners moved to 13-1, 3-1 Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC), with their only blemish an 81-77 loss to Middle Georgia State at home on Nov. 23. Brewton-Parker fell to 4-7, 1-2 SSAC.
Senior guard Randy Bell once again led Dalton State with 18 points, five rebounds and two assists while playing a team-high 35 minutes. Dauson Womack had 13 points while Kevon Tucker went for 12 points and seven rebounds. Senior point guard Sean Crannery notched a double-double with 12 points and 10 assists.
It was a dreadful afternoon from the three-point line for the Roadrunners, as they hit only one of 17 shots (5.9%). They were superb from the free-throw line, however, knocking down 27 of 30 foul shots (90%).
Dalton State next plays Blue Mountain (9-3, 2-2 SSAC) Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Mashburn Arena at the Dalton Convention Center in another conference matchup.
