Northwest Whitfield 14, Pickens 0

Northwest Whitfield High's Shaylen Sutton threw a five-inning no-hitter as the Lady Bruins (12-2, 2-1 in Region 6-4A) rolled to a 14-0 win on the road over Pickens. Sutton walked one and struck out six.

On the offensive side, Northwest's Torrey Cummings had two hits, three RBIs and scored three runs while Kate Hannah had two hits and four RBIs. Six other Lady Bruins had at least one RBI.

Mount Zion 1, Christian Heritage

Christian Heritage School's Tatiana Chiesa pitched a complete game no-hitter. And the team lost, 1-0.

The visiting Lady Lions (4-4, 0-3 Region 6-A) could only muster a couple of hits while giving up zero.

The one run Chiesa gave up was unearned. A Mount Zion player struck out but took first base on an error, then stole second base, was bunted to third and scored on a passed ball.

"It was a tough loss," Christian Heritage coach Michael Leonard said.

Ellie McDonald finished 2-for-3 and nearly tied the game at one in the top of the seventh with a home run, but the ball went just foul, Leonard said.

River Ridge 9, Dalton 0

The Dalton High Lady Catamounts (8-7) had a lone hit -- on Dasia Ware's double in the fifth inning -- as they took the loss on the road to River Ridge, 9-0.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe 6, Murray County 0

The Murray County High Lady Indians (4-9, 0-3 in Region 6-3A) took to the road and fell to Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, 6-0. Brooklyn Gonzalez, Maddie Jenkins and Alyssa Usrey each had a hit for Murray.

Gilmer 15, Southeast Whitfield 3

After taking an early lead, the Southeast Whitfield Lady Raiders couldn't contain Gilmer's high-powered offense in a 15-3 defeat. Southeast's Emma Long had a run-scoring single in the first inning and finished with two RBIs. Madison Powell added another RBI. Southeast fell to 1-13.
